Reading below I thought it was good to highlight milestones in the community. Very interesting information about the 500,000 points. Bottom line, it seems like it is pretty difficult to get 10,000 points in a week. Yiou have to be very active with blogging, logging in all day etc...

I wonder how fast someone could get there?

Playing in the rain results in the celebration of many different milestones.

For many it is the financial freedom that comes with $500,000 points.

Another would be that coveted number one position in your city, county or state.  Some of these are getting harder and harder to come by.

Counting the number of subscribers to your blog might be another one.

Or counting the number of posts you have been lucky enough to have featured is another.

With this post, I reached a different milestone---one that many may not even be aware of.

While I have no clue what it actually means, it does mean a heck of a lot of people have found my blog above and beyond the few people actually part of ActiveRain.

At the top of the “Stats” page there is an orange bar that tells how many blog posts you have written followed with the number of times your blog has been “viewed.”

That seems like a heck of a number to me, but I think it is all part of the picture of why AR has such good google juice---both for AR and ourselves.

This is a good selection for a reblog. I am glad to see that you did more comprehensive research.

Steve,

it is not easy to collect points ( time investment wise), but you are not here probably for points but for business. Points will come if you stick for some time and keep blogging and networking consistently.
