Idaho Falls, Idaho Spring? photos

By
Real Estate Agent

I recently read a blog on whether it was spring yet in our area by Glenda and Steven McDaniel. I work in Utah and live in Idaho. I was home a couple weeks ago and thought I would take a picture of the falls in spring. If you can call it spring because it was cold, windy, and there was a chance of snow. I also thought it would be a good time to add a few pictures, from 2002, of what the falls look like in the winter when, at times, they freeze. Very pretty. Later, in a future blog, I will have to show you pictures of how beautiful Idaho Falls looks in the summer.

For more history on the falls my other blog. They mentioned that they would like this site to be more about technology so I left  the history out on this site.

I am looking forward to taking pictures of the falls in better weather. I hear it is trying to snow there today.

Julie,

Just saw this. It is 10:45pm and there are a few flakes falling in Poky. The falls really are beautiful. I am amazed how much they freeze over in the winter...they might be frozen again by tomorrow morning! Crazy weather. (We had the sprinklers running this weekend, but we turned them off and drained the system today because it is freezing again)

Thanks for sharing,

Susie in Pocatello

I heard the snow was sticking tonight. I am in St George and our flight was cancelled tonight because of strong wind. It is cool here tonight. Strange weather we are having this year.

I live in Idaho Falls and we got about 3'' of snow last night. Thanks for posting these Julie! Makes me embarrassed that I have not taken the time to shot.

I flew into Idaho Falls this morning and it was cold. I am not sure that we are going to have spring. Some people say that Idaho has two months of bad sledding. That may be true this year.

I have been working in Vernal and it is cold there. It was snowing in Salt Lake when I went through. Weird weather all over.

I see there was a freeze warning last night and it may freeze tonight. The forecast is for high 50's and sunshine though!

It shouldn't be too long now. The tress are budding.
