Premature judgment relating to a fad in real estate

I do not play Nintendo games.  I did not want to my children to spend much time playing games and tried to steer them in learning about computers.  I coded a few games for my family.  Some I never can get it working right.  A game company called Sierra Entertainment sold my 9 year-old son a diskette with corrupted file. I took it back to the developer at one time General Electric Nuclear Power refueling lab here for RMA exchange. I brought my son along. He was fascinated by the tour given at that game developer co. After observed what they do, my son vowed that he wanted to work at a computer game company. He is now at Adobe doing data mining and analytics not far from that software company.

Fast forward. The Pokémon Go fever got caught using our Android devices. I heard in San Francisco one out two persons are playing the game.

The appls are supposed to be free until you need to purchase balls. Now on the Craigslist people just started using their proximity to gyms to PokéStops to attract roommates.  Clinton uses to attract voters. To confirm this I  find both San Francisco and New York City have a few roommates looking at the places. Actually, it has a total of 5 ads when I checked today.

Housing gurus from roommate-seekers to Realtors, are now drawing conclusions to their Pokémon-inspired properties trying a get rich quick scheme, better SEO, low DOM etc. It is a hot topic.

                                                         Pokemon figures

According to CNBC News, a Realtor tried to impose Pokemon Go at Open House last week but did not attract but a few minors. The TV news suggested it is effective to attract students and young people.

Pokemon

                                                  CNBC news July 14,2016

There has been a few articles including this by Judy Duttom on Realtor.com- My Home was turned into a pokemon go-gym.  People explained their home for sale is between a PokeStop with Berries. Some go in such depth speculating that the value of the home =  Z est +$ 50K for Gym and $10K for Red -(レッド Reddo), $20K for Rosa -Mei (メイ)... and location matters for a gym?

Honestly, if it is going to another Farmville game, I will not want play. I hope the fad will go away so I can do more traditional work.   No, if these generation Y comes with a gift letter with their parents who can help with $220K down-payment and can afford 900K mortgage I will learn Pokemon Go.

"Pokemon, which is short for "pocket monster is a Nintendo game developed about 20 years ago.

The Pokemon are supposed to be "monsters" that have special powers and share the world with humans.  The idea of the game is to have the children learn how to collect as many Pokemon as possible."

Sam Shueh Pokemon Go is just another excellent example of Darwin's Theory at work. In Encinitas, two fools playing that game went over the beach cliff, one fell 75-100' to the beach. Both are alive. Will people ever learn to grasp the real in life!

While trying to get to an OPEN HOUSE ?  Just kidding.....

Common sense matters....

"Two men fell off a cliff Wednesday in San Diego's North County while playing "Pokemon Go," the Encinitas Fire Department confirmed.

San Diego Lifeguards reported that someone had fallen off a cliff at E Street around 1:12 p.m. When the Encinitas Fire Department arrived, they found a man around 80 to 90 feet down the cliff, on the beach".

We need the Japanese to turn a political tide!  Who is that crazy lady?

Hillary Clinton is getting in on the Pokemon Go craze.

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee made a joke about the wildly popular mobile game Thursday, and her campaign is holding an event at a Pokestop in Ohio this weekend.

I don't think Hillary does either. But Donald says he is going to learn how to play at Trump University as a monster eating a blonde.

There is not much choice here in Silicon Valley.

The hacker and spammer kids ended up working as computer security professionals.  The 10 year old DOS antivirus kid like my son ended up doing what he always enjoyed.

Pokemon is a big hit here in Texas too but I'm not going to get into it.

I really like how you're teaching your son valuable lessons and helping him create a vision for his future too. You are such an interesting man and it's obvious, your son is following in your footsteps. I hope he turns out to be very successful and the best he can be in technology and his career.

According to my wife I advocate on schooling and will support him. Want a car that you need to earn. He had a high tech job even as a freshman in college. Never had to flip hamburgers. When he graduated he was the only one who had a professional job (IT) as all companies annouced layoff and no hiring.

My cousin who was in same class as Mark Zukerberg at Mercy College, NY.  He chose a different career path, more serious coding working for Wall Street. I may caution a company can come and fade away if there is lack of innovation.
