Friday's Fotos--Oh to be this Fearless!!
Ironically this small creature atop this young bull's head is called a Cowbird.
Maybe that's why!
Have a Fearless Friday!!

Good morning Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 . Great picture You can tell that the young bull knows the bird is there, just can't tell if he likes it or if he's annoyed Thank you for sharing

Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint you and I have both been busy! You are staying on top of your goals for the year, I'm just trying to keep my A** away from the alligators! It's been C-R-A-Z-Y here with biz.
I have to get off the dime and go take the dogs for a run...wonderful to see you and pat Hailey (sp??) for me, too!
Gayle,
What a shot! Your title is perfect. Of course he should be called a cow bird! A

If I was a cow bird, I'd sit there too. Looks like a peaceful scene. :) :) :) Happy Friday, Gayle.
Interesting ... a cowbird. The top of the head looks like a nice place to perch and enjoy the scenery. Great photo!

Did you know that cowbirds are considered sort of a pest because they lay their eggs in other bird nests and rely on other birds to raise their babies, sometimes to the exclusion and death of other birds. A cowbird might, for example, kick another egg out of a nest to make room for its own. The babies mature faster than many other fledglings, and they steal food from their step-sisters.
Well, gotta say, that Stellar Jays take no prisoners when it comes to any bird during feeding time on my deck. Cowbirds don't stand a chance next to them!
Hi Gayle - Great photo. I wish I could get the birdies to sit on me like that - we have a goldfinch who seems to be considering it, so fingers crossed. Have a great weekend!
