A recent Article on the Orlando Sentinel described our rental market from the perspective of a specialist in the sale of apartment complexes.
Here is quick summary:
- About 35,000 apartments had been converted [to condos units], and about 8,300 of those have come back to the rental pool
- In 2006, Developers, to make the condo conversions work, had to evict everybody and empty them out.
- Right now, we're still eating up the oversupply.
- This year, in Seminole County, a one-bedroom, one bath is [averaging] about $764, and two-bedroom, two-bath is $1,047. For Orange County, one-bed one-bath $848 and two-bed, two-bath $1,059.
