Are you Using a Third Party Move In Inspector Service?

I was just reading over an article on something I have not heard much about - Certified Property Management Inspection Services. Wonder how they operate and their cost?

Here are some potential benefits -

1. Quick detailed knowledge of the property.

2. Revelation of possible hidden conditions and upcoming potential problems.

3. Reduces misunderstandings and helps provide clarification to all involved parties.

4. Documents current condition by third party.

5. Reduces future potential litigation.

Some of these seem terrific benefits but by using these services are property managers abdicating their duties and responsibilites to do their job?

What does the group here on Active Rain think about them?

Love to hear other views on this subject.
