That answer to that question will depend on who you ask. ActiveRain asked the community to share our biggest Social Media Success Story.
There is so much social media today. If I followed it all and participated in all of it my head would spin off my shoulders and that would be the end of me.
I do not aspire to attempt to be all things to all people - reach all markets and demographics.
I often feel I may be a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to “social media”. I’ve never been one to follow the masses, jump on the latest bandwagon, or buy the newest shinny object.
My social media success is primarily blogging on my WordPress sites and on ActiveRain.
Late last year I began the task of cleaning up my AR posts and started substantial work on my San Jose Homes for Sale website. I started doing market reports again and posting regularly.
Both of my WordPress sites are set up so that when I post, it also posts to my Facebook Business Page, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Once my WordPress post is indexed, I post to G+ and ActiveRain.
I know blogging works. I am amazed at how quickly the work I am doing on my WordPress site is causing my phone to ring. That just inspires and motivates me to keep focused and keep doing what I am doing.
There is no sense in attempting to fix what ain't broken. I am not seeking more. My goal is quality over quantity. Quality of my work product and quality in my clients. I enjoy the freedom of of choice. Less is more for me. I enjoy researching and writting. Blogging is my platform for sharing.
I've been a member of ActiveRain for 8 years. There is no way to measure how ActiveRain has impacted my success or my success story. I've learned a lot. I've grown a lot. I've made friends that I can call and pick their brain. Networking in this community is priceless. I've made referrals to other professionals in this community. It feels good to make referrals to my clients with confidence knowing they will be well taken care of. I've received referrals from other members of the AR community as well. Referrals that likely would never have been made if it were not for the connections made here in the Rain.
