BTW...so you have a way to get around all of the pike bones when you filet them or cook them?
We don't have many pike around here, but I've caught a few on a fly rod. (That's really fun on the light weight rigs I prefer,l like my two or three weight), but I almost choked to death on a pike bone.
Believe me when I tell you I can land them on my rods. I just play the heck out of them. It's fun, but also very tiring. Although the biggest I've landed has been 22 inches.
