The War On Our Police Is Real, It Continues And It MUST End!

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty 179530

On Monday I wrote the post below about ending the war on our police. Because a war it is. And the war is REAL. Yesterday evening I turned on the news to find out that yet another police officer was shot and killed -- in Kansas City this time. At WHAT point will this end? How did our country come to this? And why have our leaders not stood up and made a true cause out of stopping these egregious killings?

Kansas Police Offers Murdered

I can only repeat:

Police lives matter! Blue lives matter! All lives matter!

The war on our police must end! The war on our police should never have started in the first place. And we should have no doubt--a war this is. I never use my blog as forum to comment on societal or political issues, but after yesterday's news of the ambush and killing of three police officers in Baton Rouge just days after the assassination of Dallas officers, I'm feeling as if I'm living in some alternate universe. Not only am I completely repulsed by these senseless and heinous attacks, I'm very frightened that the fabric of our society is being ripped apart day by day. If it's ok to kill police officers today, whom will it be ok to kill tomorrow or the day after? The war on our police must end NOW!

The War On Our Police Must Stop

Police lives matter! Blue lives matter! All lives matter!

Brenda Mayette ~ hi Brenda... I am totally with you that attitudes do come from the top down. I'm a very proud American, but this kind of thing makes me very ashamed.

Gita Bantwal ~ good morning, Gita... you're right we need to pray for the safety of all our police and first-responders. And we need to bring pressure to bear on our leaders to help stop making these kinds of killings ok.

I don't see it ending anytime soon. I actually think the shootings and confrontations with police will increase. Even firefighters and EMT's are being shot when responding to emergencies. It's a sad atmosphere of violence that we're experiencing across the country.

Couldn't agree more.

I don't think any presidential candidate is the solution, although I see both sides claiming they are. I think the solution is education.

Good morning Nina,

I agree with you and until respect is started in the home and the higher officials take a stand it will continue.

Make yourself an astonishing day.

Hi Nina Hollander We ALL agree with you. The problem is caused by the divisiveness fostered by those politicains that benefit from such divisions.

It will continue until we rid ourselves of these self-serving pols.

Bill Roberts ~ I'm totally in agreement with you... what concerns me is that too many people are not really paying attention to those self-serving pols.

Raymond E. Camp ~ hi Ray... everything starts in the home and is then reinforced by what society considers "normal." What people are calling normal these days is very scary sometimes.

Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl ~ hi Wayne... but who will educate is the question? Many schools are such hot beds of liberalism my concern is that they find justifications for shootings. Personally, I don't think this will stop until we put in some draconian punishment for these killers.

Wayne Martin ~ hi Wayne... my biggest concern is that we might start acting as if having a policeman a day shot is normal.

People are trying to make police out to be trigger happy murderers...If they were put in the shoes of the police, I wonder what they would be like.

If you want to live, do as you are told...PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

William Feela ~ no argument from me in this regard... I just think too many people are just looking to justify these killings and not condemn them.

The war on police is real . . . . To stop it  . . . . it has to start at the top and stopping it starts in the White House.

Good luck and success.

Lou Ludwig ~ hi Lou... you won't get any argument from me in this regard. The problem is that it hasn't started at the top for 7 years and now it seems a little too late and somewhat self-serving when it comes.

Roy Kelley ~ hi Roy... it's sad beyond words. And what's sadder is that when only one officer was killed the other night in Kansas City, it was barely mentioned in the news because it didn't look like a massacre.

The number of cop killings has gone up dramatically since the inception of BLM.  The media is only just beginning to cover it because of the multiple deaths at a time.  It is a sad state of affairs.
