Ahhhhh A! Ron and Alexandra Seigel !! Exactly! Great minds think alike! I didn't have any because it was lunch with clients but it made me think of a recent get together with Owen Roe Ex Umbris Syrah 2014. It's a Syrah blend from Eastern Washington. Not the most expensive, but absolutely delicious! Love its smokey, black fruit hints of plums and cherries flavor. Perfect with a spicy cajun dish!

Thanks Doug Perry!... The jambalaya was wonderful, and tho not at the same sitting, so was the Owen Roe Syrah! I'm kind of an old paesano figuratively speaking, having grown up in Renton, Washington which back in the day was an Italian town. Washington is doing really well in the wine department. I also am very fond of Jones of Washington wines...

My Donald makes a mean jambalaya.  We drive to Louisanna for the sausage from Georgia.

Hi Tammy Lankford, ... It doesn't get any more authentic then that! Nothing like driving to Louisianna for andouille sausage!
