August is my favorite month in Carmel-by-the-Sea because car aficionados come from all over the world to gaze on, auction/bid for, judge, and drive some of the worlds finest luxury cars, muscle cars, hot rods and sporting cars.
Car manufacturers hold private showings and corporate events at such luxury Carmel Valley resorts as Quail Lodge and Stonepine.
Car owners of the latest and greatest models tend to bring them to Carmel-by-the-Sea and park them in normal parking spaces around town to be admired. And admired they are by thousands of people who come to the Monterey Peninsula for Concours Week.
You will see luminaries from the entertainment, Fortune 500, sports world and every other walk of life admire the cars and each other. Yes, fashions along the Avenue are much admired, as are the dogs that accompany many of them. You did you know that this is a "doggie" town, didn't you? So bring them along.
Restaurants and the many wine tasting rooms are filled to capacity so make your reservations early.
And my office, Rothwell Realty Inc. is right in the middle of the hoopla at Su Vecino Court on Dolores Street between 5th & 6th in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Please stop by and visit.
