The Grand Mesa is a year round recreation lovers paradise. From hiking, biking fishing, hunting, skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, there's something to do in every season. It's also a nice scenic drive, and during the fall the colors can be spectacular. The mesa (as the locals call it) is also the prominent feature on the Delta County skyline.
There are cabins and lots for sale on Grand Mesa.
At this time there are six cabins on the market, and one of these is under contract. - Prices start at $149,900 (this is the one that is under contract) and go up to $329,000. The average listed price is $239,900. The median listed price is $243,250.
- The styles and sizes of the cabins varies quite a bit. Some of them are small with very functional floor plans, and some are extremely well appointed with upgrades you might expect in a higher end home.
- One cabin has sold since the first of the year. Selling price $179,900.
- The market information hasn't changed much since last month's report.
If you would like to build your own custom cabin, there are also lots for sale.
- Six lots are on the market. Prices start at $48,000 and go up to $65,000.
The real estate situation is unique in that cabin and lot owners actually own stock in the Grand Mesa Resort Company. Real estate transfers via a stock certificate. One share is issued for each lot.
