I have heard that there is about 10% of the population who can never be pleased no matter what is done for them.
Then there is about 25% who have a great work ethic and are extremely dependable.
The remaining 65% are followers.
So the question is, which of the first two groups would you want the followers to emulate?
The 25% who are workings their butts off, that's who. Unfortunately, misery loves company and tends to attract many followers.

The 10% make life more difficult than it has to be, due to that 'you can never please me' attitude, because I'm not a happy person or live I for negativity Sybil Campbell. They can be humorous until they become your client - then they can be beyond challenging. I'm voting with Chris Ann Cleland!

Hi Endre, You are probably right, with the poor work ethic we currently have in our country.
They teach managers to manage the 25% who work hard so that the followers will follow them. There is no need to try to manage to the 10% because they will never be happy and it's better to have 90% of the population working hard.
Bob, I guess you could say they are tossed about like the wind and waves.
How well I know that Sheila Anderson. I have a couple of family members who are like that.
I have always been a worker and knew I had to go after and work hard to get what I want.

Once when I worked for Weichert, Jim Weichert gave a talk to a large company gathering where he gave us the results of a recent client satisfaction survey. He said, "We learned that 90% of our clients love us, and the other 10% hate themselves!" I've always thought about that when somebody gave me a hard time - which luckily doesn't happen too often.
