My Humble Advice to 'Newbies'...
Just like visiting a foreign land, you must savor the adventure by tasting new dishes, and embracing the beauty of your new surroundings and immerse yourself in the people.
The fresh, new license has been laminated and the pre-licensing books have found their place upon the shelf. The 'congratulations' have settled and the announcements that proclaim your newly established career have been sent.
Now what...??
As I see it, this phase is like taking your first step to venture into a foreign land. You've read the brochures, and you've seen the photos, but until your feet actually walk upon the ground, you cannot fathom what it is really like.

Just like visiting a foreign land, you must savor the adventure by tasting new dishes, and embracing the beauty of your new surroundings and immerse yourself in the people.
Real Estate is a people business. Walk around and look closely at the surroundings of your area. Talk to the shop owners and shoppers. Walk through neighborhoods and meet the homeowners. Walk and talk to everyone you meet. Ask why they chose to live here? What drew them to this area and what is their favorite aspect of living here...and listen, listen, and listen, then hand out business cards like candy on Halloween...
Relationships are like the passport needful to travel freely in this new land.
Each day is a new opportunity....
Each day is full of surprises...
Each day is the building of precious memories...
And don't forget to enjoy the view...!!
