I flew home on Southwest. Standard procedure is that the early birds take either the asle or window seat. My standard procedure is to take the first seat available that looks promising. On my first plane I had a very nice conversation with a lady going to Chicago who was traveling with an elderly relative.
On the next phase I sat between a sleeping teenager and her mother. I do not know why they don't move to sit together but they don't.
Since we were going to my home I asked what brought them to Boise. Turns out they were going rafting in Riggin's Idaho.
Wow a four day raft trip starting in Riggins going to Washington State in Hell's Canyon. That sounded like fun. The lady wasn't too talkative but her kid woke up and we talked a little. She was looking forward to it but was a bit apprehensive. I assured her that with a proper guide it was a safe and fun activity. We said goodbye as we deplaned and I woke up thinking of the fun 4 days they had ahead of them.
Riggins is a 3 or 4 hour drive from Boise through one of the most scenic highways. Mountain river outfitters.
We have white water rafting in other parts of the state closer to Boise but this certainly sounds like on of the many great reasons to come to Idaho.
If you have been white water rafting let me know how you liked it.
