Understading MLS Listing Sheets

By

MLS listing sheets can be confusing.  If you are not used to the abbreviatons, or are looking at a listing sheet for the first time, you may have questions as to what some of them mean.  Here are a few of the most common questions I receive on listing sheets.

AR: This is just the geographical area that your local mls uses to group properties.

TI: This is the tax identification number associated with a give address

FB: Full Bath

HB: Half Bath

Main SF: Main Level Square Feet

LSZ: Lot Size

LGL: The Legal description of the property.

CDOM: Current days on market, how long the property has been available for sale

Orig LP: Original Price the home was listed for

Some MLS programs allow you to print out the MLS sheet with full category names instead of abbreviations. It's important that we don't use abbreviations in our ads - they're equally unintelligible.

This is a handy piece of info- this shorthand is another language entirely to the uninitiated.
