There is a lot of Sizzle this summer in Southeastern Wisconsin...while we have not checked the weather records...we are lifelong Wisconsin residents and we can't remember it being in the 90's this early or for days at a time for quite a number of years. Augusts in years gone by was the warmest month....and we are having an exceedingly warm July.
What people often say about Wisconsin weather is if you don't like it..."Wait 5 minutes and it will change." As we edge toward fall....temps can fluctuate 40 or more degrees in a day from 70's in the day time dipping to 30's overnight. We don't "look for" snow till closer to Thanksgiving ...but that can come as a surprise too...though not likely to stay on the yet to be frozen ground until then.
The Market ? HOT HOT HOT....and the description ...be it single family, duplexes or investment properties....all disappear in hours or days. EVEN condos are gone quickly which is not typical for our market....condos usually lag far behind. People are still looking for updates...but willing to pay for them as we see multiple and over asking offers more often than just one to a listing.
The challenge for some people...we have several....who do not want to list until they are sure that they have found a place to move to since they are not interested in long term rentals and there are few places that rent for short term.
Duplexes and Multifamilies are a bit slower than single family families and condos....requiring larger down payments and appealing to a smaller audience of buyers.
All summer, southeastern Wisconsin celebrates the season with festivals at Henry Maier Festival Park on Lake Michigan. Milwaukee is an ethnic melting pot ...festivals celebrate many different nationalities with food, dancing and other entertainment throughout the summer season.
A fairly new entry growing in popularity are FOOD TRUCKS. They are more common in warmer climates where they can be utilized all year. We went to the Rock 'n Food Truck Rally with friends last night. We are looking forward to the August 24th and September 28th Food Truck Rallys that will be held at Rock Sports Complex. The food was outstanding....we would get there earlier and eat earlier rather than getting lost in conversation with our friends to that some of the Trucks had sold out of their specialities...it was well attended and the weather was perfect ....next time we heard some vendors saying that they would have a "Plan B" to bring in more food.
Southeastern Wisconsin knows how to celebrate the Summer Season....come on over....we'll treat you to a drink on the Matteo....under the sun 'brellas or by the light of the firepit.
You might find as we have that you want to make southeastern Wisconsin your home for a lifetime...and the Hansons would be honored to help do exactly that. Enjoy !
