I'm often asked by GATech parents looking for a condo for their student, "What is the closest condo building to GATech?" That answer usually does not fit in their budget, but it's Mid City Lofts.

Located on Spring Street at 6th Street, MidCity Lofts was a "pioneer" in the Midtown Atlanta condo market. Built in 2002, it was one of the first new construction condominium buildings, joining Metropolis Midtown. But a totally different style than the aforementioned!
MidCity Lofts is not a high-rise, per se, with just 6 floors of residential, atop a garage. So there's one major difference. Some people like to be able to step out on their balcony and be able to see the people on the street something you have a hard time doing from the 20th floor. And most of the homes here have larger balconies too!
All homes were finished with Corian countertops in the kitchens as well as the floors were left concrete and polished. Now, you will find some homes that have added hardwood flooring since then.
One of the cool features of MidCity Lofts is the Sky Lounge and Pool, locate on the top of the building. The pool area is just awesome, as is the club room and fitness center.
MidCity Lofts location is ideal for GATech professors as well as the new NCR Corporate headquarters building that will literally be across the street from the building. Other nearby offices include The Federal Reserve, Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan, Price Waterhouse Cooper and Turner Broadcasting.
