The Narragansett home sale market has stepped up its pace with sales up a significantly over the prior month.  Pending home sales are down by 18% month over month.   In Narragansett RI coastal real estate home values are up too by 14% for year over year for the first six months of 2016 over 2015!  What an amazing rise in home values.  
 
Why does Narragansett command a higher dollar value per square foot of home sold as compared to neighboring towns?
 
 This is a fact out of state buyers have difficulty understanding.  You are nearly surrounded by the ocean...this oceanfront, beach access, beachfront and nearly walk to water community commands the dollars because of the ocean.  In buyers minds, it is that amazing location that is so different that increases the dollars for every house here.  Land here is at a premium cost also.

26 homes were sold this month in Narragansett.  Overall, homes in all price ranges if priced well are the hot home commodity here. Do you ever do neighborhood market updates or do you just do the towns and villages? I am seeing one agent do a lot of neighborhoods and I am wondering which way to go - what do you think? all and everything? or just a few since we are all busy?

Lise Howe I keep all my neighborhoods on my web site...our neighborhoods are not bigger than 100 homes so the updates would not be like yours...if you have a 1000 homes I would definitely do them...they work for others who do them.

Good morning Ginny Gorman and that's the story of high end housing in all areas....but yours is so much more exclusive....they just don't make waterfront lots anymore.... supply and demand....but one needs to be able to afford it, too.... I can see those prices continuing to skyrocket....
