Moorestown-  Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend, with your significant other, or with the whole family?  If so, there are a few choices for you.

  • On Saturday May 3 from 2-6pm there is the 11th Annual Wild West BBQ Spring Into Summer Event located at Spillpond Farm.  According to their web site the proceeds will “benefit the Family Service Food Pantry and the Charles Yates Center for Children and Families.”  You can enjoy cowboy games, ride a pony, take a hay ride, climb a rock wall and tons of other fun things as well.  To learn more, visit their web site.
  • Also on Saturday May 3 is the 3rd Annual Moorestown Community House Wine Tasting from 5:30-8:30pm.  There will be over 400 Wines to sample from around the World; which should keep you plenty busy!  All the proceeds benefit the Moorestown Community House Restoration Fund.  Tickets are available at the door, or prior to the event at the Community House or at The Wine Cellar
  • On Sunday May 4th is Moorestown’s Crop Walk For Hunger.  Can you imagine that 1 in 6 people in this world survive on less than $1 a day!  This is a great event for a great cause and one that I’m looking forward to participating in.  If I’m lucky and the weather holds out, I’ll be able to enjoy a wonderful afternoon with my 7 year old and 4 year old as well.  Otherwise, I’ll be enjoying a walk in the rain!  Registration starts at 1:30pm at the First United Methodist Church.  You can find more information by visiting Moorestown’s web site and then clicking on “Crop Walk.”  If you can’t make it and would still like to donate, you may do so securely on line by clicking here.

Whatever you end up doing this weekend, I hope you have a wonderful time!
