Staying connected with clients is done by keeping great records on when I first work with them. After that initial consultation, I make sure all my clients know I am always around for support when needed, while making sure I give them space. I stay connected with "Feng Shui check-ups" with quick emails, phone calls or text messages. This small gesture goes a long way.
Interestingly, when I do reach out, it tends to be at the right time. A response I receive is, "I was just thinking about you!" The power of intention ;)
Another means with staying connected is by hosting FREE community events for the public to attend, such as with lectures and workshops. I also love volunteering for a local non for profit organization called Strength for Life, NY. They offer free nutrition and exercise classes, along with free retreats for cancer patients who are going through treatment or who are in remission.
I have recently ordered T-shirts that have a basics of my companies name and contact information. We even have people ordering them to where and help promote.
Last year in 2015, I began a campaign by calling various venues across the United States ( North Carolina, Florida, Texas, California, etc) to create a "Feng Shui Inspirational Tour." The intention was to travel the United States offering Feng Shui workshops. By the end of my 5 month campaigning, I only had three states that positively responded. That included California, Maryland and North Carolina. I have to say, I was pretty disappointed.
Looking back, the process of getting "yeses" from the three states, I learned so much. This included how to better my proposal writing, improve my over-the-phone pitching techniques which led to stronger confidence and being persistent. At the end of the day, I was able to travel to Maryland, due a radio interview with Margaret Rome and stay a week in North Carolina teaching Feng Shui. I also flew to California to provide workshops as well.
I had an amazing time and met some really amazing people!
Next on my list is to write a book (which is in the process). It will explore Feng Shui from a scientific perspective, offering data to support its health benefits that go beyond the notion of interior design and luxury status.
