These past few weeks have been crazy busy yet wonderful. Lately, I’ve really come to appreciate those quiet moments when they happen. Last Wednesday I was on my way to the Kent office when I got a text from my coworker pal Jill Bell. “I know this is totally last minute, but do you have time for lunch?”
We’ve been trying to get together to work on a few projects, marketing, and event dates but had to bail at the 11th hour because stuff happens and we’re all so busy. Yes I can! I’m actually just 2 miles up Benson Highway and headed in your direction. Let's do it!
I was first to show up at one of our favorite lunch spots in Kent, Washington on East Hill. Curry & Kabab is a wonderful locally owned Indian Food restaurant. I’m such a raving fan of this friendly and comfy little place and the most amazing dishes they create.
Incoming text... “Be there in just a few minutes, I have to run by the office first.” No worries my friend. That means I actually get to stop and enjoy being quiet. It’s such a treat these days. I checked a few emails, nothing urgent, then I silenced the ringer and put my phone facedown on the table.
As I looked around the room and took in the wonderful aromas I counted my blessings. What a delightful pause. Sometimes, it’s those quiet little moments that make such a big difference in a day. They matter.
