Social Media and Realtors

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Pinnacle Group

How do you use Facebook and Linkedin?  Many realtors post their new listings directly to FB and Linkedin on a regular basis.  I often see realtors who share the closing they had that particular day to these sites.   I used to be one who posted my listings and closings, then I realized the impact that actually has on my reputation and the reputation of our industry... What we do as realtors has a direct impact on the public's impression of us, as individuals, and on our entire industry. 99.9% of people reading your posts not only don't care that you just listed a home or just closed a sale, but it annoys them beyond what you can imagine... "Social Media" is what it's called, NOT "Your personal brag and advertising media".   Please review these charts sharing the amount of real estate posts to social media per week and the interactions to those postings... Let us know your thoughts on this topic and thanks for your participation!
