Langley city in Island County, Washington State it's been located on the south end of Whidbey Island and you will see the view of the Saratoga Passage. It was named "The village by the Sea" and one of the famous tradition events in this city is the Mystery Weekend happening yearly every last weekend of February. A fake newspaper story is being run in the South Whidbey Record.
Visitors can purchased a fake newspaper to see the details of the person involved. The players are instructed to search every store for a box of cards, with a clue to the mystery printed on each card. Various locals play the parts of characters in the story, and players are invited to question them for information.
The players who believe they have solved the game may submit their solutions and enter into a drawing of prizes.
They will celebrate its 33rd anniversary on February 25 - 26 2017. The police have been called, retired Detective I.B. Fuzz is again on the case, and Hagetha has her notebook out, but will that be enough to find the murderer?
Langley is again asking for all the help it can get to solve this latest in a 33-year string of late February murders in the quiet seaside village. You are invited to join other sleuths, interview live suspects, view the scene of the crime, read the sensational newspaper stories, gather clues, and try to identify the murderer. Sleuths of all ages are invited to participate in the longest running Mystery Weekend in the United States.
If you’re smart enough to figure out who committed this dastardly deed, you might even win yourself some prizes. Come play along Saturday, February 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Sunday, February 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Then make your way to Langley Middle School Auditorium for the big reveal at 5 p.m.
