Carlsbad Art in the Village 2016 is August 14th
The outdoor 1-day fairs in Carlsbad are legendary, and popular with lots of people – buyers as well as vendors. And they are part of the Carlsbad Village lifestyle.
The 2016 Carlsbad Art in the Village, the 18th annual, takes place this Sunday, August 14, in downtown Carlsbad Village along State Street and Grand Avenue.
If you are looking for something fun to do in our beautiful summer weather, Carlsbad Art in the Village might be right up your alley, with works of art from more than 125 local and regional arts and crafts artists. Whatever your artistic leanings, you will no doubt be impressed with the variety of arts and crafts – fine art, classical and contemporary sculpture, jewelry, ceramics and pottery, clothing, paintings in all mediums, new media, mixed media, wood working, furniture, accessories. Terrific eye candy and fun for your wallet, too!
Carlsbad Art in the Village is free and open 9 am until 5 pm. In addition to displays there will be artist demos and instruction throughout the day. The Carlsbad weather should be good, with predictions for partly cloudy skies in the high 70s (we’ll see how well the meteorologists do with their crystal ball). Art in the Village fairs are always crowded so you should expect some parking challenges in town, and plan your time accordingly. Good thing the parking is free! And the Coaster is nearby if you prefer public transportation.
And if by chance you tire of the Art in the Village fair itself, there’s lots to see and do, and places to dine in the heart of Carlsbad Village either during or after the event, or spend a few minutes at the beach just a couple of blocks away.
