A Renovation to Sell. St Paul, MN Home Staging

I love renovation projects and lucky for me I have been doing a lot of them lately for an investor. It's always fun to see old homes with so much character brought back to life. 

This project was in St. Paul in a great neighborhood. Sadly the house had been neglected with no one living there but now it is vibrant once again with a great family. 

My favorite TV show is 'Fixer Upper' and I especially love when they start each show with "Do you have what it takes for a Fixer Upper?" I do, I do!!

These old homes are so precious. I am so glad they are being restored to their glory along with modern updates. Looking forward to the next one!

But was it fun because you were making the decisions and someone else was doing the work? Or did you actually do the painting and etc?


I would love to direct but the "hands on" would not thrill me.

Shar, your before and after shots were fun.  Of course, most of us don't get to see this many really bad "before" shots in one house!

Yes, most befores are not like this. It was a fun project but a lot to do is an understatement.

Hi Shar- wonderful Befor and After photos! A friend recently did a very similar update, going from the dark trim and tannish walls to white trim and soft grey! Love it.

Thanks Kathy Streib! Some people scolded me for painting the woodwork. It sold in 2 days with multiply offers all over list price so I think I made the right decision. :)

I did not do the actual work Sharon Tara . I am WAY to old for that! The investor had contractors and I just had the free reign to pick flooring, cabinets, vanities, paint, lighting, tile, and even suggested they knock down the wall in the bathroom to open it up for a tub/shower making two full baths instead of just one on the main floor. Always balancing ROI for everything.
