In our latest challenge, hosted by realtor.com®, we’re asking agents and real estate professionals to share their most “out of the box” ideas for following up with seller leads.

A few Rainers noted that the original "out of the box" idea involving a FedEx box may violate FedEx's rules and regulations. Thanks for your eagle eyes and holding us to high ethical standards! Here are a few other ideas to get you started:Example 1: Don't be afraid to aim high
Once a seller lead comes, consider sending out the highest sales prices in the area (rather than a traditional CMA of the property in question). Says the agent, "If the home is the worst house on the best block, we highlight the neighborhood value as a place of great resale value if the work is put in. Then we offer to come by in person to make upgrade recommendations and give a 'what we could sell for' evaluation in person."Example 2: Don't be afraid of being full of hot airLab Coat Agents' Tristan Ahumada shared, "The craziest one we have heard is an agent tying a business card to a balloon and letting it go into the air and hoping that whomever gets it will call. Assuming the balloon comes back down. Definitely crazy!
