Short sales
Would like to hear the adventures that other realtors are experiencing in this short sale market. Need to hear some good techniques for dealing with short sale (sellers and buyers).

Each one is different. I had one go from listing to closing in 48 days. I have a second one that is going to take longer. How much longer I'm not sure but I am back on the phone with the bank today to find out. They did the BPO within 2 weeks. I had clients make an offer on one that they pulled out of after 21 days but they agent was making progress on getting approvals. They decided to buy the house next door as it was a foreclosure and they could set a closing date.

Oh Joyce it's a persistent up hill battle. Just stay the coarse and you will be successful. I have quite a few blogs on my trials and tribulations on short sales. Check them out. Also there is a short sale group.

I'm closing on my first short sale today. The hardest part has been getting all the really small details taken care of that the mortgage company wants on or off the HUD. That having been said, it hasn't been THAT difficult. Kind of fun.
