Graditude - How can you say Thank You?

I have a favorite song written by Irving Berlin that says "When I get worried and I can't sleep I count my blessings instead of sheep and I fall asleep counting my blessings."  A sentiment I try to always keep in mind. So, my question today is how many different ways can you tell someone Thank You?

I have heard numerous spouses say they really appreciate small mundane things like drying the dishes, taking out the garbarge, picking clothes off the floor and just doing things around the house that need to be done. Taking time to be with that person and focus on them shows you are invested and most people think of that in a very positive light.

In my real estate career I have done appreciation parties, given out pies and cookies, brought donuts and/or bagels, sponsored movie nights, sent out birthday cards and made phone calls, provided tax protest information, bought dinners plus any number of other things.

And the point has always been to say to our clients - Thank You!

So how do you express your appreciation?

Clark, I say the words, "thank you". I give out spontaneous hugs. I give gift cards and other tokens. Mostly I give my time and attention to another. That's the best way I know of to say thank you.
