Yes, Tuesday August 16, 2016, Concours on the Avenue comes to Carmel-by-the-Sea and pretty much shuts this one square mile city down to all but foot traffic. At least its business district.
And that means parking is at a premium. I was going to say, try to get here to find a spot and then walk everywhere. But, no, we have 2 hour parking limits here and those infernal tickets end up on your windshields.
Better come early and find some all day parking outside of the business district.
Here is a great map that tells you all about our NORMAL parking situation here in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
But it also talks about public parking.
Then, make sure you have comfortable walking shoes on because there are literally hundreds of cars to look at and thousands of people to dodge. But it's all in good fun, so take lots of photos with these prized cars and their proud owners.
And if you should be near my office - and, of course my office is in the middle of the downtown business district - come on by and say 'hello'. My Rothwell Realty office is on Dolores in Su Vecino Court between 5th & 6th Avenue. We can even go downstairs to the new Cultura Restaurant and have a libation.
How great is that?
