The Eggplant Parmesan of Real Estate Listing. A Recipe for Sold!

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Lisa Glowacki - Rhode Island & Massachusetts

The Eggplant Parmesan of Real Estate Listings. I know you're thinking what the heck does Eggplant Parmesan have to do with listing Real Estate. Glad you asked and I am happy to share my Recipe for Awesomely Delicious!

I love Eggplant Parmesan and let's face it it is a lot of work to make or should I say make it right and often the freshest garden grown eggplants are had in the Summer so add heat and humidity to the mix. While making it today I started thinking about Real Estate listings. Get where I am going? Why I never take short cuts!

There is no getting away from flouring, dipping, and breading but oven baking in lieu of frying is an option so I tried baking the prepared eggplant before assembling. This reminded me of click & post pictures. Either small, dark, or different sizes their quality is unmatched compared to taking the time to edit, crop, and enhance already eye catching photos. Take the time to fry.

Shake Cheese in a jar - it works but it is never ooey, gooey, stretching with every fork full, and slapping your chin like shredded cheese. Like free videos, more like slide shows, they work but you can say and show much more with a custom video. I was so disappointed when our MLS introduced free videos – who would have thought right? It was an introduction to purchase video services but every video is the same and somehow I can't help to think it devalued a valuable tool.  I am sure many now avoid viewing videos period. Will I stop making custom videos? – no but I will have to work harder to get them viewed. Hint, Hint view some here:  Real Estate Videos

Sauce - okay let's not get carried away I don't always use homemade sauce unless I have it already made but I certainly spice it up adding garlic, fresh herbs, a pinch of salt here and a dash a pepper there. Trust me descriptions can be challenging with their character limitations it takes time and thought to spice it up highlighting the home's unique qualities but space is precious and repetition is wasteful. If it can be found in the listing sheet I try not to repeat.

So was my time saving Eggplant Parmesan “Awesomely Delicious” – no it was just okay. Will everything I just mentioned always guarantee a sale – no we know there are many more factors involved. However it does answer a personal question as to why I put so much time and effort into preparing a listing on the days I am in doubt – it's what you put into it that makes it “Awesomely Delicious!” Will my Eggplant Parmesan coming out of the oven today and from this day forward be “Awesomely Delicious” - yes because I decided that I'll prepare my meals like I prepare my listings!

Home sellers will be in very good hands when they select you as their listing agent.
