Have you ever taken a tube down a river or a water slide? It is just fun and with friends can be a great way to spend the day. Colorado Springs is having "Slide the City" again this year this Saturday, August 21, 2016.
The slide is 1,000 feet long and 24 feet wide so there is room for plenty of people & fun to slide. Colorado Springs boasts one of the best hills with up to a 7% grade for a fun slide and ride.
What this means in addition to getting your tube ready is that 21st Street from Gold Camp Road to Hwy 24 is going to be closed. You can get a ticket for a two hour slide window which gives you a priority on the slide but you can stay and enjoy the festivities the entire day. Tickets range from $24 - $65.
Hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
