Silicon Valley, CA
As we are saturated with Summer Olympics stats data we turned our focus at home. My wife and I both develop eye irritation problems. The mountains when looking at from the bottom of Silicon Valley are now covered with a yellow black cloud. Wait, we are not going anywhere on the freeway there is a hillside fire near us!
This fire is just one of the few local fires that we residents in California have to deal with. So 30 minutes of delay is not even mentioned as we have a train bridge trusses on fire in downtown San Jose. The tar used to paint over the wooden framework creates when ignited created much black smoke the health department issued a warning for people with respiratory problems to stay home.
I also saw the inconsiderate throws out a cigarette out at exist that ignited another local brush fire. The real story is north of here we got the Lake County fire. This fire burned more than 4,000 acres and 175 homes, many of them mobile homes. The blaze followed three that ripped through Lake County in 2015 which destroyed more than 1,300 homes and killed at least 4 persons.
South of Silicon Valley the Big Sur fire which causes the majority of soot, and eye irritatation lost its prority as the 84,000 acres of hill and hard to reach areas.
A conflagration in the Big Sur region just south of here grew more than 2,000 acres to almost 84,000 acres after July 22 a month ago. According to the Cal Department of Forestry, the fire will not be contained (just 60%) until sometime in September. I am sure 100s of 10,000 of wild life is lost from the Sobranes Fire all from one negligent camper. The bulldozer fireman was the first casualty when it flipped over in fire fighting. I know as a Realtor that banks are having problem getting brokers to go there inspection and do CMAs even with hazard pay.
A few hours south of here Cut Fire burning in the Cajon Pass (San Bernardino Co.) has ignited 37,000 acres( this is 57 square miles!) Chimney Fire in San Luis Obispo County was still burning and reached a ridge just 3 miles away from Hearst Castle Saturday morning (Blue Cut near Hearst Castle burning). I hope it will be under control soon.

Back at home, I thought our eye irritation and coughing problem is just south of home. This is what the sky looks like north of us in San Francisco Bay. The haze from all these fires blocked the normal blue sky at Gold Gate Bridge.

Some write and wish us to use rain putting out the fires. We are still three months away for any rain if we get any. We are still in a severe drought.
