Who doesn't like tall ships? The Maryland Dove sailed into the Baltimore Inner Harbor today and will be offering free tours until August 29.
The Dove is a replica of a 17th Century English trading ship that made the first expedition from England to Maryland. The replica was made over a 15 month period by Maryland resident James Richardson and it was launched in 1978.
According to Sail Baltimore, the organization that brings the tall ships to Baltimore, free public tours are being offered:
Saturday, August 20, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, August 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, August 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, August 24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday, August 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, August 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, August 27, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 28, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
