Sittin' on a Pier in the Bay

While taking some photos of a condo complex, I happened upon an area of a lake with some old mooring posts. They still had some value however, as some ducks were using them as a resting area yet still avoiding the lakeside.

It must have seemed like a good thing to do as they were seldom vacant and the ducks preened and strutted while on the posts.

Or maybe a quick nap with no fear of being surprised.

Happy Sunday, Ed. I'm hearing Otis Redding singing in my head.  So cute.

Ed, Like Kathy Streib said, I was hearing Otis and it takes me back to a time when I did a duet off-the-cuff while sitting next to a musician on the piano who was entertaining a group of us at a bar and it was a song that I actually knew the words to and after a few drinks I felt bold enough to sing with him, after planting myself on his piano stool. Probably my best singing moment, as it was in my range, comfortable and he and I could harmonize rather well. Thank you for taking me there, and of COURSE I love ducks to boot!

Ed,

Your photo and thoughts go together like musician and songwriter. There is something so soothing about water and those old mooring posts have caused more than just ducks to come by for a rest. Love the song! Love the photo! Love your inspirational post too!
