HERE WE GROW AGAIN
The State of Missouri Office of Administration released figures that predicts Barry County population will have increased 3,000 by 2010 to 37,072.
Most of Shell Knob is in Barry County.The biggest percentage of growth in southwest Missouri, is found in Stone and Taney Counties. The numbers reflect the continuing appeal of the Ozarks for second homes and retirement on Table Rock Lake.
Stone County, covers part of Shell Knob, Cape Fair, Lampe, and Kimberling City. It is predicted to go from 28,650 in 2000, to 32,994 by the next census in 2010.
