The Happiest Place on Earth

Do you know where this is?

Disneyland CA

It's Disneyland, of course, according to the official tagline.

We spent a day there back in 2007 with our daughter and her husband. She had won an award at work which was tickets for 4 plus dinner at their famous Club 33. It was great fun, and I was definitely happy to not have to fork out much money. Admission these days for 4 adults is about $400!

Hi Jeff Dowler Our first date (I've been married about 11 years ) was at Disneyland. It is a great  place and time for another "visit" the price be damned.

Good morning Jeff,

Having been to both it can be a relaxing time. The restaurants seem to be better now than in the 80's.

Make yourself an astonishing day.

Since I grew up in Buena Park, I was lucky enough to visit the happiest place on earth frequently.  At $100 per adult, not sure I would be making that trip quite as frequently these days.  Yowza!

Such a fun place to be, but you are right, it has gotten quite expensive.  I haven't been there for a very long time.

Jeff admission at Disney is a far cry from when I was at the one in CA back in the early 70's.  A book of tickets was $15

My daughter, her husband, and the 2 kids just spent a week at Disney World. I'm so happy for them to have such a wonderful vacation. My first time there was my honeymoon. I've been many times since but haven't been in a long time. I've never been to Disneyland.

Bill Roberts  - what a fun place for a first, and obviously very successful, date!! Time to revisit "price be damned."

Raymond E. Camp  - I've only been to Disneyland, twice, this visit and then years ago (mid 80s I think) when our kids were small.

I've never been to Disneyland, but I have been to Disney World a few times. Tickets are the same price. We went with our family last year-me, Rich, my mom, my sister and her husband, and my niece. It was worth the money to have those memories!

You haven't been back to Disneyland since 2007... boy has it changed.

funny story... I have a friend who talked me into going last year... he wanted a corn dog.   It had been in a while so I said sure... Being the gentlemen he is, he took care of the $100 entry ticket.    But convinced me to get a season pass... "we will use it, I promise"   Well guess what...  Pass expsires next week, used it once.

That was one expensive corn dog!

I spent a lot of time there when my kids were little, since we had annual passes to most of local parks.

Hi Jeff.... the cost of admission to the theme parks these days is astronomical... I don't know how "real" people afford them. Your post brought back nice memories. I was in Disneyland last in 1975.

Brian England  - we had a great time and fortunately the lines, for the most part, weren't too bad.

Hi Jeff -- I grew up in the shadow of Disneyland and I've never been to Club 33 -- how fortunate for you.   Nice photo.

Hi Jeff Dowler , I remember when you bought a pack of tickets for the various attractions.  I think they were about $9 each.  The last time I went, in the 1990s, it was about $58 dollars entry fee.  At the prices now, there is no way.
