Many properties with lake views in Austin are million dollar properties. And most people when looking feel that these properties are out of reach especially for the median sale price in Austin which hovers in the mid 300's.
There is an upscale community right around the Bend past Mansfield Dam in Austin called The Villas on Lake Travis. This is a gated condo neighborhood right on lake which boasts endless views as well as water access. The community offers two pools, a tennis court, sport court and a fitness center across the expansive property featuring landscaping that is resort-like and immaculately maintained.
This can be a lock and leave home or a permanent oasis close to the city. The HOA covers everything, including cable (the only exception is electricity) so you know what your ancillary bills will be month-to month. They also have video security as well as locks on the amenity gates to keep the surrounding property around each condo ultra safe and secure. Children in the community attend the highly sought after Lake Travis ISD. In fact the middle school is right across the road.
Not all properties in the Villas are in the 300's...in fact many other units are quite a bit more expensive but right now there are several properties in the mid $300,000 range for sale.
