Fall is right around the corner! With the cold weather upon us, fall is a great time to run through this check-list to make sure you are winter ready and that you home stays in great shape.

1) Inspect your HVAC unit for any heating and ventilation problems & change furnace filters.

2) If you haven't already - invest the money in a smart thermostat. This will save you money in the long run!

3) Trim back any trees, brushes, shrubs and apply fertilizer.

4) Complete your indoor renovation projects. Winter time renovation can be frustrating especially if you live in a cold/wet climate.

5) Clean gutters, seal window and door cracks, inspect roof for damage, & blow out sprinkler system.

6) Replace batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace fire extinguishers if needed.

7) Inspect & Clean chimney - a dirty chimney can cause a house fire.

8) Inspect the home for rodents and pests - these can do lots of damage to your home that can become extremely costly.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
