When I bought my rentals (before I was an agent) I bought home warranties. I continued to recommend these warranties after I became an agent 10 years ago. A few years ago I became increasingly unhappy with my experience with the company. Last year I canceled with the company. A few years ago I started selling a different warranty. My clients seemed happy with the new company.
Fast forward. I bought the product I have been recommending to my client for one of my rentals. So far I have had two claims and I am unsatisfied. The first one was for an air conditioner and things were resolved but I had to get my sales representative involved. The 38 year old AC broke. We have bad fires in the mountains so the air was both bad and hot. My tenant has bad asthma. First they said they would replace it then nothing for a week. Finally they sent another repairman that fixed it with two capictors. My next claim is for a fridge that is not keeping cold. So far they have not solved the problem. They have neither agreed to fix or replace the fridge. It is early in the claim but I am unhappy with how this is playing out. I know the my sales representative would solve the problem but I am trying to act like a normal client. That way I can judge the product better.
Does anyone actually have a home warranty service that just fixes or replaces things without any slow down? Just curious. I want good service because I deserve it not because I recommend the product.
