Taking a Hike for National Dog Day

Today is National Dog Day.  We took Chance, our Australian Shepherd on a hike to Tamanawas Falls this morning.  Tamanawas Falls is approximately 40 feet wide with a drop of approximately 100 feet. My son Ben, has taken this hike almost every year towards the end of summer, just before the start of the next school year.  Chance has led the way each time.

It was a great day for a hike in the Mt Hood National Forest.  The trailhead is approximately 30 miles south of Hood River, OR via Highway 35.

Loved the pictures and wish my assistant was not almost 14 years old, he tells me if we are doing one or two blocks around the house and it is mostly flat ground:))Endre
