On my last trip to Paris, I went north to Claude Monet's home in Giverny. The house and gardens have been preserved, and this is one of the ponds where his famous water lilies still grow. When Monet bought the house and created the shallow lake, the nearby farmers accused him of ruining the water their cows drank with his water lilies. The cheese tasted really stinky. But wait? Doesn't all French cheese smell and taste stinky? At any rate, the water lilies stayed and still grow in the pond that inspired his beautiful murals.
You can't really call wrong with Monet water lilies at all! Love and light! This is a great choice
Years ago I was lucky enough to attend a Monet in Giverny exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. Incredible. Monet is my favorite Impressionist.
Once at a party I made Wanda slink away when I stood in front of a Monet print and said, "Gee, I hope this guy is making a lot of monAY because I see his stuff everywhere."
Of course, half the people hearing that thought I was a complete dope.
I like that.
Hi Pat
I remember you talking about this before. What a beautiful photo. I never got to Giverny but did see a number of his murals while in Paris. I think it was at the Orangerie!

Hi Patricia, this is a beautiful photo. Like George Souto, I love cheese, stinkier the better for me as well.
That is a great photo Pat. Isn't about time to start planning another trip back to Paris?

Isn't that beautiful! Monet is one of my favorite painters. That must have been an amazing experience for you! To think, you stood and stared at what became one of the most famous paintings of all time. WOW! You're a lucky gal!
