I drove from western Massachusetts to central New Jersey this morning. I left in the dark and made a few observations. I stopped for coffee at a highway place and it was sad. It was kind of like a third world nation: poor people working hard in difficult surroundings. I admired the work ethic but was grateful I never knew this sort of thing myself.
Once in New Jersey in the middle of a highway there was a family of Mallards. It was strange and I hope they didn't get hurt. Finally I hate rush hour traffic and am so glad I now live in a place without it.
