It is amazing how the temperatures vary from Phoenix to Sedona.  That almost mile high elevation has a lot to do with that.  Beautiful area.

It is so true Belinda Spillman - we are not in the Sonoran Desert like Phoenix.  Pine and Juniper are prevalent and cooler weather.

Yes Evelyn Johnston - No real seasons (to speack of) in California where I came from. You had to go to the mountains if you wanted fall or winter. Most Californians like that though!  I enjoy the change of seasons especially because no temps here are very harsh.

I like the starrey nights Gabe Sanders .  It is hard to see stars anymore but we have a dark sky ordinance with few exceptions. All lights have to shine down.

I've been in Sedona 4 times now, at different times of the year. I have to say I prefer your fall - summer was HOT and not being a snow person I didn't care for December much, but it was pretty. Interesting how much the temps can change at certain times. That's a beautiful fall photo! It's time for a visit again.

Hi Jeff Dowler - I am like you, I prefer Fall also. It is my favorite time of year. Spring is next. But those two seasons are our busiest of the year! I can lose focus (on the season) because of how busy it is!  Compared to where you live, our summers are hot but I came from the Inland Empire so this ain't too bad! Our winter is mild compared to most of the rest of the country. Of course, not your area!!! We wear warmer clothes but mostly sweaters. We don't have to bundle up often and we get "polite" snow.

Hi Lou Ludwig - It is probably our busiest tourist season and we (locals) have to keep that in mind as we plan our days.
