Up to my shoulders in retirement!

Real Estate Agent with Tri-Cities Real Estate retired

That's where it will stay for awhile.  My plan is working!

I am in the final phase.

This is my plan for the next year and half.  Continue to be the principal broker for  Oregon for my agency Tri-Cities Real Estate for awhile.  Continue to do some bpos.  Continue to list and sell splitting the deals with younger partner Jake Beck.

Let natural attrition happen.  This is the hardest part but feels  and is right.  I am  slowly letting my business die.  Not advertising , not doing my recipe calendars for the first time in many years.  (An old fashioned but very effective and cheap way to keep in touch with past clients.)   Not prospecting.

What I am doing is spending more time at home - someitmes in home office - sometimes not.  spending more time just hanging out with my reitred husband.

It takes an adjustment to know that it's ok to relax.  it's ok to not be pushing forward.  It's a little difficult because our profession is one that you can do literally till you drop.  There are agents in our area in their 80s!

We aren't wealthy - but we are ok, thanks in part to things I learned while doing real estate.  Wealth was never our goal.  We always put experiences before things.  It's important to us to be able to pick up and go..

Speaking of which part of the fun of going is going in our 1936 Buick resto-rod (stock on the outside - modern drive train).  Fun Fun FUN!

Gets the job done!

I am still trying to build my business.   The idea of retiring some day sounds interesting!

Kathy Judy What a great plan and we hope that Buick runs right after the restoration is complete. Retirement...AH; perhaps someday!
