Tulsa Community College Fall 2016 Enrollment Numbers are Up

Tulsa Community College has not seen an increase in enrollment numbers since 2010. In fact, enrollment numbers have actually fallen since then. Due to this, the college has added some attractive new programs to entice student’s involvement this year. Are you interested in attending a community college?

First of all, one of the new programs is specifically designed to get students from high school through college to graduation. Therefore, you can achieve success as a college student! Information is something that really helps prepare college students for the transition from a more guided environment such as high school to a college environment! Preparing students for what’s in store is a great plan. Tulsa Community College really put work into this over the summer.

College officials helped prepare students for what is involved in having a full case load of school work. In addition, the college now requires mandatory orientation. Around 200 sessions were held over the summer for this goal of first-time students to increase their knowledge and prepare the students. Since the college has a 3.9 percent increase of new students, as in “first timers” entering this fall. As a community, we want to see these students succeed.

What else is New?

On-time enrollment is new this semester. This means that after the first class session has been held, students cannot enroll for the 16 week course. This is important to get students off to the best possible start to the semester. Missing the first day of class has proven to set students up for playing catch up in the community college atmosphere. Tulsa Community College is currently the only institution in Oklahoma practicing this policy. Most of all, this school is a great asset to our Tulsa Community and really striving to see college students succeed in today's world.
