Several years ago, I decided to earn my Seniors Real Estate Specialist® or SRES® designation. I wanted it as a credential to differentiate myself from other REALTORS® as a specialist dealing in St. Augustine homes for sale in Active Adult Communities. The SRES® designation qualifies me as a REALTOR® that has the necessary knowledge and skills needed to address the rights of home buyers and sellers age 50+. To receive this designation, I had to demonstrate the expertise necessary to counsel senior clients through the major lifestyle and financial transitions that come with buying and selling property after age 50.
