There are very few "local" events that I feel are worth traveling a thousand miles to or more. I'd even say it's worth taking a plane up to Rollag MN for the Memorial Day weekend to see the LIVING history of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion. This video is 6 minutes... I know way to long for social media BUT I promise you it's well worth watching. This is an incredible event for every family member. It's like a carnival for the kids, including the most beautiful steam powered merry-go-round and colliope you have ever seen. My Bride loves it because of the "organic" grocery shopping and family fun, and what guy doesn't like to see monstrous machinery that would crush a dinosaur moving across the land?

So are you going, Bob? I'll admit, I'm not tempted by big machinery. Then again I'm a city girl. Big buildings are more my style! However, I did enjoy seeing them in the video.

It really is awesome to see these giant machines "awake from the past" Nina Hollander . Seeing some of those tractors make their way around the grounds just leaves one in disbelief that they are actually moving. I've been there many times and still have not made up my mind if I will head over there this weekend. Of course I'd jump in the car right now if I knew you were going to be there.
