Oh no! I won't be able to get that background music out of my head!

What a cool picture, Jeff. I've never seen a road runner up close and personal.
Will Hamm - it HAS been weird. Keeps life interesting. Thanks for stopping by - glad I could post and you could comment!
Jeff
That's really cool Jeff. I have never seen a real road runner, just the cartoon one.
Patricia Kennedy - I thought the same thing as soon as I saw this photo and decided to share it. How can one forget!
Nina Hollander - they are pretty neat birds to watch, and they really can run fast. Plus they are pretty large, and they make a funny sound

Hannah Williams - nope they are the real deal, and pretty common here in the SW USA
Sybil Campbell - I hadn't either until I moved to SoCal. It was pretty cool to see for the first time.

Yes they can, but they are so fast it seems they prefer that. I've seen them fly up on to our backyard fence at a prior house
do they fly ???
Jeff,
We see them here in Santa Barbara. Our cats were fascinated by them, and they were inside at the time. A
Jennifer Mackay - they are fun to watch, especially when chasing food, MEEP MEEP indeed - love that character!
Ron and Alexandra Seigel - yep our cats are pretty fascinated by them as well.
Jeff
Oh how cool is that, Jeff! I've never seen one but, I would love to see what our cat thought of it! LOL Great shot!

They are pretty cool to watch because of their size, and they act so differently from other birds. And our cats' eyes were huge - what a potential meal. Although I suspect the Roadrunner could outrun our cats easily.
Jeff
Hi Jeff -- I can't remember the last time I "saw" a roadrunner --- either the roadrunner was so fast or my eyes too slow.
Hi Jeff Dowler , Thanks for sharing your roadrunner photo. I'm surprised he wasn't just a burr. ![]()
Michael Jacobs - well they aren't always easy to spot and the ones I have seen seem to be on the move
Larry Johnston - ha ha. Well this one seemed to me looking for lizards so he was just standing there. Lucky and my camera!
