Iowa is a high radon state so radon tests are incredibly important tests to do when buying a home in the areas I cover, Iowa City and Coralville. I hear people questioning the data out there on radon and have to say that in the long term, it's a small financial investment to have a radon mitigation system installed, so why risk it? Maybe the data is skewed. Maybe not. I think it's worth paying for peace of mind. And this goes double if there are young children in the home.
